To manage the complete employee lifecycle for office and site staff, ensuring smooth recruitment, onboarding, compliance, payroll, performance management, employee engagement, and welfare in alignment with statutory requirements and organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment & Staffing
Identify manpower requirements for office and project sites in consultation with Project Managers.
Prepare and publish job postings, screen candidates, and schedule interviews.
Maintain a balance between
direct recruitment and reference-based hiring
.
Ensure timely mobilization of manpower for new and ongoing projects.
2. Onboarding & Induction
Execute the
HR onboarding process
(documentation, appointment letter, ID cards, system/PPE issuance).
Conduct induction sessions covering company profile, policies, safety guidelines, and compliance.
Ensure site staff receive safety training and compliance briefings.
3. Compliance & Statutory
Maintain employee records as per labour law and client requirements.
Ensure timely registration under
PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, and Gratuity
.
Maintain statutory registers (leave, attendance, muster roll, overtime).
Coordinate with Safety Officer to implement
labour law and site compliance
.
Handle
client audits
related to labour, insurance, and HR compliance.
4. Payroll & Attendance
Collect and verify attendance from sites and office.
Process monthly payroll, overtime, incentives, and deductions.
Coordinate with Accounts for salary disbursement and statutory remittances.
5. Employee Relations & Engagement
Serve as first point of contact for employee queries and grievances.
Drive employee engagement initiatives, training, and welfare activities.
Ensure strict adherence to
POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment)
and grievance redressal mechanisms.
6. Performance Management
Support managers in setting KRAs/KPIs for employees.
Monitor probation and confirmation processes.
Conduct periodic performance reviews and feedback sessions.
7. Insurance & Welfare
Enroll employees in
Group Medical Insurance / Workmen Compensation / Accident policies
.
Maintain insurance records and coordinate claims processing.
Ensure workplace safety standards and health check-ups (where required).
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of
HR processes and labour laws
(Factories Act, Shops & Establishments, BOCW Act).
Good understanding of
statutory compliance & site requirements
.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in
HRMS, Excel, Payroll software
.
Ability to handle high-pressure project environments and multi-site HR operations.
Qualifications & Experience
MBA/PGDM in HR or equivalent qualification.
2-6 years (HR Executive) / 6-12 years (HR Manager) of HR experience, preferably in
construction/interior fit-out/contracting industry
.
