The HR Assistant will support the HR team in managing day-to-day HR operations with a strong focus on
blue-collar workforce management, attendance & leave administration, statutory compliance (PF & ESIC), and employee data handling
. The role requires good knowledge of
MS Excel
and the ability to coordinate effectively with employees and supervisors.
Key Responsibilities
1. Workforce Management
Maintain employee records for blue-collar workers, including personal files and documentation.
Support recruitment and onboarding of factory/site staff by collecting and verifying documents.
Ensure smooth communication with workers regarding HR policies and updates.
2. Attendance & Leave Management
Daily monitoring of employee attendance through biometric/HRMS systems.
Resolve attendance mismatches and prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports.
Process and track employee leave requests in line with company leave policies.
3. Statutory Compliance
Handle
PF and ESIC registrations/enrollments
of new employees.
Ensure timely submission of necessary forms and compliance data.
Assist in maintaining statutory records and audit requirements.
4. HR Operations & Support
Prepare letters (offer, confirmation, warning, etc.) under HR guidance.
Assist in payroll inputs (attendance, leave without pay, overtime).
Manage and update HR-related reports in
Excel
for management review.
Provide assistance to employees in queries related to HR policies, attendance, or benefits.
Key Skills & Competencies
Good knowledge of
MS Excel
(VLOOKUP, Pivot Table, Data Validation, Basic Formulas).
Familiarity with
PF & ESIC
enrollment process.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle worker grievances with patience and professionalism.
Attention to detail, accuracy in data handling, and timely follow-ups.
Qualifications & Experience
Graduate in any stream (preferred specialization in HR/Industrial Relations).
1-2 years of experience in HR operations, preferably in a
manufacturing / blue-collar workforce setup
.
Freshers with relevant internships or training in HR compliance may also apply.
