To manage and support all HR and administrative functions at the construction site or office, ensuring smooth manpower management, statutory compliance, site administration, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Functions
Handle
end-to-end recruitment
of site staff, labor, and project-based employees.
Maintain and update
employee records
, attendance, and leave management.
Coordinate
onboarding, induction, and exit formalities
for site employees and workers.
Process
monthly payroll inputs
(attendance, OT, leaves) and coordinate with HO for salary disbursement.
Ensure compliance with
labor laws
, including
PF, ESI, WC Policy
, CLRA, and other statutory requirements.
Manage
labor contractors
and ensure documentation (agreements, wage sheets, muster rolls) is complete and compliant.
Address employee grievances and escalate when required.
Maintain and monitor
health, safety, and welfare measures
at the site in coordination with the Safety Officer.
Administrative Functions
Manage
site office administration
including stationery, housekeeping, transport, and accommodation of staff.
Coordinate with vendors for
facility management services
(canteen,
security
, transport, etc.).
Maintain
inventory
of office supplies, PPEs, and admin assets.
Handle
visitor management
and liaison with local authorities or vendors.
Ensure proper upkeep of site office and project facilities.
Coordination & Reporting
Prepare and submit
daily/weekly/monthly HR & admin reports
to the Head Office or Project Manager.
Coordinate with
project teams, head office HR, accounts, and compliance departments
for smooth operations.
Support in audits and inspections related to
labor laws, client requirements, or certifications
(e.g., ISO, safety).
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of
labour laws
, payroll processes, and HR documentation.
Good understanding of
construction site operations and workforce management
.
Proficiency in
MS Office
and experience with HRMS or ERP systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage a labor-intensive environment.
Problem-solving mindset and adaptability to project site conditions.
Qualification & Experience
Education
: Graduate (B.com) / MBA in HR / Diploma in HRM
Experience
: 3-6 years in a similar HR & Admin role, preferably in the
construction or infrastructure sector
