4. Quality Control & Rejection Reduction
Ensure production as per
quality standards and control plan
Analyze and reduce casting defects (porosity, cold shut, flash, shrinkage, cracks)
Coordinate with Quality team for inspection and corrective actions
Ensure segregation and traceability of rejected castings
5. Safety & 5S Compliance
Enforce
safety practices
, PPE usage, and SOPs
Ensure housekeeping, 5S, and workplace discipline
Prevent accidents and report near misses
Follow statutory and internal safety requirements
6. Breakdown & Maintenance Coordination
Coordinate with Maintenance team for breakdowns
Support preventive maintenance activities
Ensure availability of dies, consumables, and spares
7. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain
shift production reports
Record downtime, rejection reasons, and corrective actions
Update DWM / production MIS / shift logs
Communicate issues to Production Manager
8. Continuous Improvement
Implement productivity and cost-reduction initiatives
Support Kaizen, TPM, and process improvement activities
Participate in audits (ISO, IATF, customer audits)
