Supervise daily activities of housekeeping staff, including attendance, duty allocation, and shift planning.
Train staff on cleaning methods, equipment use, hygiene practices, and safety protocols.
Monitor staff performance and provide feedback for improvement.
2. Campus Cleanliness & Hygiene Oversight
Ensure all assigned areas (classrooms, washrooms, corridors, hostels, offices, cafeteria, outdoor areas) are cleaned to university standards.
Conduct frequent inspections and ensure timely corrective action.
Oversee deep cleaning, pest control, sanitization, and special cleaning schedules.
3. Supplies & Inventory Management
Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, consumables, and equipment.
Raise purchase requests, monitor stock usage, and prevent wastage.
Ensure proper storage and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
4. Coordination & Reporting
Coordinate with the Admin Officer and other departments for housekeeping requirements during events, examinations, admissions, or VIP visits.
Prepare daily/weekly reports on cleanliness status, staff attendance, and maintenance issues.
Communicate with maintenance teams for repair needs (plumbing, electrical, furniture, fixtures).
5. Safety & Compliance
Ensure adherence to hygiene standards, safety norms, and cleanliness policies.
Train staff on safety procedures, fire safety basics, and emergency response.
Ensure all cleaning equipment is well-maintained and safe to operate.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum: Class 12th pass; Graduate preferred.
2-5 years of experience in housekeeping supervision (educational institutions, hotels, hospitals, corporate offices preferred).
Experience in leading a large housekeeping team is desirable.
