Job Summary:



The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily housekeeping operations, ensuring all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces are clean, well-maintained, and meet the organization's hygiene and quality standards. The role involves supervising housekeeping staff, managing schedules, inspecting rooms, and ensuring excellent guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:



Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff, including room attendants, public area attendants, and linen attendants. Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas for cleanliness, maintenance, and overall presentation. Ensure all cleaning assignments are completed according to established standards and timelines. Train, guide, and motivate team members to maintain consistent quality and productivity. Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linen, and guest amenities; place requisitions as required. Maintain proper records of attendance, room status, cleaning schedules, and maintenance issues. Coordinate with the front office and maintenance departments for room readiness and repair follow-ups. Address guest complaints or feedback promptly and professionally. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation protocols at all times. Support the Executive Housekeeper in preparing reports and performance evaluations.

Required Qualifications & Skills:



Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management or related field. 2-4 years of housekeeping experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role (preferred in hotels/resorts). Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials, and housekeeping procedures. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Eye for detail and commitment to maintaining high standards. Ability to manage a team effectively and handle pressure situations. Basic computer skills (MS Office, PMS knowledge preferred).
