Job Summary

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for supervising housekeeping staff and ensuring a clean, hygienic, and safe environment in all hospital areas in accordance with infection control standards and hospital policies.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping activities in wards, OPD, ICU, OT, laboratories, offices, and common areas Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and infection control standards are strictly followed Allocate duties and prepare duty rosters for housekeeping staff Train staff on cleaning procedures, use of chemicals, equipment handling, and safety practices Inspect hospital areas regularly and take corrective action when required Ensure proper waste segregation and biomedical waste disposal as per hospital guidelines Monitor and maintain stock of cleaning materials, chemicals, and equipment Report maintenance issues such as plumbing, electrical, or structural problems Ensure staff adhere to hospital dress code, hygiene, and discipline Coordinate with nursing, maintenance, and administration departments Handle complaints related to housekeeping services and resolve them promptly Maintain attendance, performance records, and incident reports
Qualifications

Minimum education: 10th / 12th pass (Diploma in Housekeeping preferred) Experience: 2-5 years in hospital housekeeping or healthcare facility Knowledge of hospital infection control practices is mandatory

Working Conditions

Hospital environment Rotational shifts including weekends and holidays
