Job Description

A Housekeeping Supervisor oversees daily housekeeping operations to maintain cleanliness and order, supervising staff, training new employees, and ensuring adherence to established cleanliness and safety standards. Key duties include assigning tasks, inspecting areas, managing cleaning supply inventories, addressing guest requests, and reporting on department performance. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills to motivate staff and ensure high-quality service in settings like hotels, hospitals, and other facilities. Key Responsibilities

Staff Supervision & Training

: Hire, train, schedule, and supervise housekeeping staff, providing guidance on cleaning methods, customer service, and safety protocols.

Quality Assurance

: Inspect rooms and public areas to ensure they meet cleanliness and order standards, providing feedback and coaching to staff to improve performance.

Inventory Management

: Monitor and maintain adequate stock levels of cleaning supplies, equipment, and linens, ordering new items as needed.

Guest Satisfaction

: Respond to and resolve guest requests, complaints, and concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Compliance

: Enforce health, safety, and sanitation policies to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for guests and staff.

Operational Management

: Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures, and oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department.

Reporting & Communication

: Maintain records related to housekeeping operations and provide periodic reports to management on department performance.
