Supervise and manage housekeeping staff, including cleaning personnel, porters, and support staff.
Ensure daily cleaning schedules are adhered to across all hospital areas such as patient rooms, wards, operation theaters, public areas, and offices.
Monitor and maintain cleanliness standards in compliance with healthcare regulations and hospital policies.
Train, motivate, and evaluate housekeeping staff performance.
Maintain inventory and procurement of cleaning supplies and equipment; ensure proper use and maintenance.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure high standards of hygiene and sanitation.
Handle staff scheduling, attendance, and shift management effectively.
Address and resolve any housekeeping-related complaints or issues promptly.
Maintain records related to housekeeping activities, incidents, and inspections.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, including handling of chemicals and waste disposal.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance housekeeping efficiency and patient satisfaction.
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum 3+ years of experience in housekeeping supervision, preferably in a hospital or healthcare environment.
Diploma or degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or related field is preferred.
Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemical handling, and hospital sanitation standards.
Experience in managing and training teams, with good leadership skills.
Familiarity with infection control protocols and safety regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies efficiently.
Proficient in record-keeping and basic computer skills.
