Job Description

A Hospital Housekeeping Supervisor oversees staff, ensuring high cleanliness, hygiene, and infection control in patient rooms, common areas, and operating theaters by assigning tasks, training staff on sanitation protocols, inspecting work quality, managing supplies/inventory, handling complaints, and collaborating with other departments to maintain safe, welcoming, and compliant hospital environments. Key Duties & Responsibilities Staff Management & Training

Supervise & Schedule:

Assign daily tasks, create staff schedules, and monitor performance.

Train Staff:

Conduct orientation and ongoing training on proper cleaning methods, equipment use, safety, and infection control.

Performance:

Address deficiencies, provide retraining, and manage HR tasks like time cards and attendance.
Operations & Quality Control

Inspection:

Regularly inspect all areas (patient rooms, corridors, public spaces) for cleanliness, hygiene, and maintenance issues.

Standards:

Ensure adherence to strict hospital cleanliness, hygiene, and infection control standards.

Coordination:

Work with maintenance and other departments (nursing, facilities) to resolve issues.
Inventory & Supplies

Monitor Stock:

Keep track of cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment.

Order Supplies:

Requisition and manage inventory to ensure adequate stock levels for the team.
Patient & Guest Experience

Resolve Complaints:

Address and resolve patient or visitor complaints about housekeeping services.

Create Welcoming Environment:

Ensure the facility is welcoming, presentable, and safe for patients and visitors.
Compliance & Safety

Health & Safety:

Ensure compliance with all hospital health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Waste Management:

Oversee proper handling of biomedical waste as per protocols, a specific hospital requirement.
Administrative

Reporting:

Maintain logs, track room status, and report on department performance to management.

Budgeting:

May assist in managing departmental budgets and resource allocation
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ?20,000.00 - ?22,000.00 per month
