Position Title: Housekeeping Supervisor

Department: Housekeeping

Reporting To: Housekeeping Manager / Admin Manager

Location: Jabalpur Hospital & Research Centre

Job Summary

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for ensuring a clean, safe, hygienic, and infection-free hospital environment. The role involves supervising housekeeping staff, maintaining cleanliness standards as per NABH guidelines, coordinating with clinical and non-clinical departments, and ensuring timely completion of housekeeping tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Responsibilities:

- Supervise day-to-day housekeeping operations across all hospital areas.

- Ensure adherence to NABH, biomedical waste, infection control, and safety protocols.

- Conduct routine inspections of patient and non-patient care areas.

- Monitor cleaning, sanitization, waste disposal, and discharge room turnover.

Staff Supervision:

- Manage staff schedules, duty rosters, and shift allocations.

- Train staff on cleaning procedures, BMW segregation, and infection control.

- Monitor staff grooming, discipline, and performance.

Material & Equipment Management:

- Maintain inventory of materials and raise requisitions.

- Ensure proper functioning of cleaning equipment.

Compliance & Documentation:

- Maintain checklists, monitoring sheets, and documentation.

- Ensure compliance with NABH 6th edition requirements.

Coordination & Communication:

- Liaise with nursing and admin teams for smooth operations.

- Address housekeeping-related complaints promptly.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Leadership and team management abilities.

- Knowledge of infection control and biomedical waste rules.

- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to maintain hospital hygiene standards.

Qualification & Experience

- Qualification: 12th Pass / Graduate preferred.

- Experience: 3-5 years of housekeeping experience, with at least 2 years in a hospital supervisory role.

- Knowledge of NABH standards preferred.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Cleanliness audit scores.

- Discharge room cleaning turnaround time.

- Compliance with infection control and BMW guidelines.

- Staff attendance, discipline, and training.

- Patient and department satisfaction levels.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹12,000.00 per month
