The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily housekeeping operations to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and overall guest or resident satisfaction. This role involves supervising housekeeping staff, maintaining quality standards, managing supplies, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff
Assign duties and inspect work to ensure cleanliness standards are met
Train new housekeeping employees and provide ongoing guidance
Ensure proper use and maintenance of cleaning equipment and supplies
Monitor inventory and request supplies as needed
Handle guest or resident complaints promptly and professionally
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
Prepare work schedules and maintain attendance records
Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to management
Assist with cleaning duties when necessary
Requirements and Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Proven experience in housekeeping or a supervisory role
Strong leadership and communication skills
Good organizational and time-management abilities
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety standards
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Physically able to stand, walk, and perform cleaning tasks as required
