The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for supervising the daily operations of the housekeeping department. They ensure that guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas are clean, orderly, and maintained to the hotel's standards. The role also includes staff training, performance monitoring, and maintaining inventory of housekeeping supplies.
Supervise room attendants and other housekeeping staff.
Inspect guest rooms, corridors, and public areas for cleanliness and proper presentation.
Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to the engineering department.
Monitor housekeeping schedules and delegate tasks accordingly.
Assist in daily room assignments and duty rosters.
Ensure all rooms are cleaned and ready before the standard check-in time.
Train new housekeeping staff in cleaning procedures and hotel standards.
Monitor staff performance and ensure compliance with grooming and behavior policies.
Address staff grievances and disciplinary issues in coordination with the HR or Housekeeping Manager.
Maintain housekeeping records such as room occupancy, cleaning schedules, and lost-and-found items.
Manage housekeeping supplies inventory and initiate purchase requests as needed.
Ensure compliance with hygiene, health, and safety regulations.
Assist in preparing staff duty rosters and payroll inputs.
