Supervise daily activities of room attendants, public area attendants, and laundry staff.
Assign duties, inspect work, and ensure rooms and public areas meet brand and cleanliness standards.
Check vacant and occupied rooms daily for cleanliness, maintenance issues, and guest supplies.
Ensure timely cleaning and release of rooms for guest arrivals and departures.
Coordinate with Front Office regarding room status (clean, vacant, occupied, OOO, OOS).
Staff Management & Training
Train housekeeping associates on cleaning procedures, chemical usage, grooming, and safety standards.
Monitor staff attendance, grooming, and discipline.
Motivate and counsel team members to maintain a positive work environment.
Conduct daily briefings before shift assignments.
Inventory & Supplies
Control usage and ordering of cleaning supplies, guest amenities, and linen.
Maintain par levels and ensure proper storage and labeling of chemicals.
Record and report any damaged or lost linen/equipment.
Guest Interaction & Service
Handle guest requests and complaints promptly and professionally.
Ensure special requests (e.g., extra amenities, baby cots, VIP setups) are fulfilled.
Follow up on guest feedback and take corrective action where necessary.
Inspections & Quality Control
Conduct random inspections of guest rooms and public areas for cleanliness, maintenance, and safety.
Maintain checklists and inspection reports.
Report maintenance issues to the Engineering Department and ensure timely rectification.
Coordination & Reporting
Coordinate with Front Office, Maintenance, and Laundry for smooth operations.
Prepare daily housekeeping reports, room status, and discrepancy reports.
Participate in departmental meetings and share improvement ideas.
