Summary

We are seeking a hardworking and detail-oriented Housekeeping Staff member to join our team in Puducherry. This is a full-time,

in-office position

, where you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and overall appearance of our guest rooms and public areas. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work and has a keen eye for detail to ensure every space meets our high standards.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Room Servicing:

Clean and tidy guest rooms according to established hotel standards, including making beds, changing linens, and replenishing towels.

Replenish Amenities:

Restock guest supplies such as toiletries, drinking glasses, and stationery, and ensure all items are in their proper place.

Public Area Cleaning:

Clean and maintain all public spaces, including lobbies, hallways, stairwells, and common areas, ensuring they are presentable and welcoming.

Floor Maintenance:

Sweep, vacuum, mop, and polish floors and clean surfaces as required.

Waste Management:

Empty and clean trash containers, ensuring proper disposal.

Guest Interaction:

Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests for housekeeping services or amenities.

Maintenance Reporting:

Report any maintenance issues, room damage, or safety hazards to a supervisor immediately.

Safety and Standards:

Adhere to all safety and sanitation protocols while using cleaning chemicals and equipment safely.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Experience:

Prior experience in a housekeeping or cleaning role is preferred, ideally within a hotel or resort environment.

Attention to Detail:

Meticulous attention to detail to ensure rooms are spotless and well-maintained.

Physical Stamina:

Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Reliability:

A strong work ethic and a sense of responsibility to complete tasks consistently and on schedule.

Communication:

Basic communication skills to understand instructions and respond to guests politely.

Teamwork:

Ability to work effectively as part of a team to complete daily cleaning schedules.
