Job Summary:

The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing the cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation of the hospital premises. They ensure that housekeeping operations run efficiently, maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervision & Staff Management:

Manage and lead the housekeeping team, including assigning duties and monitoring performance. Conduct training programs for housekeeping staff on cleaning protocols, infection control, and safety procedures. Ensure discipline, punctuality, and adherence to hospital policies by the housekeeping staff.

Cleaning & Hygiene Standards:

Ensure all hospital areas, including patient rooms, ICUs, OTs, OPDs, corridors, and washrooms, are cleaned and sanitized as per hospital standards. Monitor daily cleaning schedules and conduct routine inspections. Ensure proper waste management and disposal as per biomedical waste guidelines.

Inventory & Supplies Management:

Maintain stock of cleaning materials, disinfectants, and hygiene supplies. Coordinate with the procurement team for timely replenishment of housekeeping materials. Ensure proper utilization of resources and prevent wastage.

Compliance & Safety:

Ensure compliance with infection control and NABH guidelines related to housekeeping. Implement and monitor hygiene and sanitation protocols to prevent hospital-acquired infections. Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained and used safely.

Coordination & Reporting:

Work closely with nursing, administration, and facility management for smooth housekeeping operations. Address complaints and feedback regarding cleanliness and take corrective actions. Prepare and submit housekeeping reports and maintain records of daily activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Minimum 5

-7 years

of experience in housekeeping, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setup. Knowledge of hospital hygiene standards, infection control, and biomedical waste management. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle staff issues, grievances, and maintain a disciplined work environment. Basic knowledge of housekeeping chemicals, cleaning techniques, and equipment handling.

Work Schedule:

Full-time

with rotational shifts as per hospital requirements. Should be available for emergency situations and inspections.
