Job Description

The Housekeeping Guest Service Associate (GSA) plays a vital role in ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and comfort for guests. This position requires at least one year of experience in housekeeping or a similar guest service role, and involves assisting guests with housekeeping-related requests, maintaining immaculate guest rooms and public areas, and working closely with the housekeeping team to ensure operational efficiency. The GSA is responsible for addressing guest concerns, facilitating room readiness, and supporting housekeeping staff in daily tasks. By providing outstanding service, the GSA helps create a welcoming and memorable environment for all guests, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty. This position is crucial in maintaining the property's reputation for cleanliness and exceptional guest service.

Key Responsibilities:



Greet guests warmly and professionally, offering assistance with any housekeeping-related inquiries or requests. Respond promptly to guest complaints or concerns, ensuring a high level of satisfaction. Provide information regarding housekeeping services, such as the status of room cleaning, availability of amenities, or requests for additional supplies. Regularly inspect guest rooms, corridors, and public spaces to ensure they meet cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation standards. Report maintenance issues, damages, or anything out of order to the appropriate department for quick resolution. Verify replenishment of amenities (e.g., towels, toiletries, linens) and ensure proper presentation in guest rooms. Coordinate with the housekeeping team to fulfill guest requests for extra towels, pillows, or any other specific needs. Ensure prompt delivery of requested items such as irons, hairdryers, cribs, or bedding. Assist guests with room changes or special requests to enhance their comfort and experience. Support housekeeping staff with general cleaning tasks and preparation, particularly during peak times or high occupancy. Ensure the cleaning carts and supplies are well-organized and fully stocked. Update room status in the system accurately (e.g., room cleaned, pending, or out of order). Communicate efficiently with housekeeping colleagues to ensure rooms are ready for check-in and meet quality standards. Ensure housekeeping supplies, linens, and guest room amenities are properly stocked and stored. Assist with inventory checks and report any shortages or supply needs to supervisors. Follow all cleaning procedures, health and safety protocols, and hygiene standards to maintain cleanliness and guest safety. Properly handle and store cleaning products, chemicals, and equipment to prevent accidents and maintain safety. Assist with the timely preparation of rooms for guest arrival, ensuring they meet cleanliness and presentation standards. Ensure that rooms are consistently refreshed and maintained during guest stays, following any specific guest preferences.
