The Housekeeping Associate is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and overall upkeep of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas. The role ensures that guests experience a comfortable and well-maintained environment during their stay.
Key Responsibilities:
Clean and service guest rooms as per hotel standards (bed making, dusting, vacuuming, replenishing amenities, bathroom cleaning).
Maintain cleanliness of corridors, public areas, and service areas.
Replenish linen, towels, and guest supplies on a daily basis.
Report maintenance issues, damages, or lost & found items to the supervisor.
Ensure trolleys and cleaning equipment are well-stocked and maintained.
Follow hygiene, safety, and grooming standards at all times.
Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests.
Assist in laundry operations when required.
Support housekeeping team during peak operations (banquets, events, high occupancy).
Skills & Competencies:
Attention to detail and cleanliness.
Good physical stamina and ability to work long shifts.
Basic communication skills.
Guest service orientation with a positive attitude.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Qualifications & Experience:
Diploma in Hotel Management (preferred).
0-2 years of housekeeping experience (freshers may be considered).
Prior experience in hospitality is an added advantage.
