Key Responsibilities
Common Responsibilities (for Both Housemen & Housewomen)
Clean and tidy guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and other hotel areas as per hotel standards.
Make beds, change linens, replenish towels, toiletries, and other amenities.
Dust, mop, vacuum, and sanitize floors and furniture.
Report any maintenance issues or lost and found items to the supervisor.
Ensure proper handling and use of housekeeping tools, equipment, and cleaning chemicals.
Follow daily work schedules and complete assigned rooms/areas on time.
Adhere to hotel hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards.
Respond to guest requests politely and efficiently.
Work as part of a team to maintain cleanliness throughout the hotel.
Specific Duties of a Houseman (Male Attendant)
Deep cleaning of hard-to-reach areas and heavy-duty cleaning tasks.
Moving furniture, beds, and heavy items for cleaning or room setup.
Cleaning public areas like lobbies, corridors, staircases, banquet halls, restrooms, staff areas, etc.
Replenishing housekeeping trolleys and supply rooms.
Assisting with laundry transport or linen delivery.
Support event setups or special cleaning projects.
Maintain cleanliness in external areas like parking, front entrance, garden areas if assigned.
Specific Duties of a Housewoman (Female Attendant)
Focus on detailed room cleaning and guest comfort.
Responsible for making beds, setting room amenities, and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
Prioritize cleaning in female guest rooms, family rooms, and sensitive areas (if culturally appropriate).
Handle in-room guest requests for extra towels, toiletries, and room services.
Maintain a neat appearance and follow grooming standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum 8th/10th standard education (or as required).
Previous experience in housekeeping in hotels/hospitals is a plus but not mandatory.
Basic understanding of cleaning procedures and hygiene.
Physically fit - able to stand, bend, lift, and perform cleaning tasks for long periods.
Willingness to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Honest, punctual, and hardworking.
