Job Description

A housekeeping job involves cleaning and sanitizing rooms, public areas, and other spaces to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization. Key duties include dusting, vacuuming, mopping, making beds, changing linens, and restocking supplies like toiletries and towels. Housekeepers are also responsible for trash removal, reporting maintenance issues, and following safety and health protocols.

Core responsibilities:-

Cleaning and sanitizing: Dusting furniture, cleaning bathrooms, and sanitizing surfaces in rooms and public areas.

Floor care: Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors and carpets.

Laundry: Changing linens, making beds, and washing, drying, and folding laundry.

Restocking: Replenishing guest amenities, toiletries, and other supplies.

Trash removal: Emptying trash cans and replacing liners.

Maintenance reporting: Identifying and reporting any damages, safety hazards, or maintenance issues.

Additional duties:-

Cleaning and polishing fixtures, mirrors, and glass.

Wiping and sanitizing electrical equipment like TVs and remotes.

Assisting with setting up and taking down equipment for events.

Following specific checklists and schedules.

Responding to guest requests and ensuring guest satisfaction.

Skills and qualifications:-

Strong attention to detail.

Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects.

Excellent time management skills.

Ability to follow instructions and strict procedures.

Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and safety protocols.
