A housekeeper's job role involves maintaining cleanliness, order, and hygiene in various settings, which can include homes, hotels, offices, hospitals, and other commercial or institutional buildings. The specific duties can vary depending on the environment, but common responsibilities include:

Core Cleaning Duties:

Dusting:

Surfaces, furniture, fixtures, and decor.

Vacuuming/Sweeping/Mopping:

Floors, carpets, and rugs.

Sanitizing:

Bathrooms (toilets, sinks, showers, tubs), kitchens (countertops, sinks, appliances), and other high-touch surfaces.

Trash Removal:

Emptying waste bins and replacing liners.

Making Beds:

Replacing linens and arranging bedding neatly (especially in hotels or residential settings).

Restocking Supplies:

Replenishing toiletries, paper products, and other amenities.

Additional Responsibilities (depending on the setting):

Laundry:

Washing, drying, folding, and sometimes ironing linens and towels.

Reporting Maintenance Issues:

Identifying and reporting any damages, malfunctions, or hazards to appropriate personnel.

Inventory Management:

Keeping track of cleaning supplies and equipment, and sometimes ordering new stock.
