The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure a clean, orderly, and comfortable environment for all guests. The role plays a vital part in guest satisfaction and hotel hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Clean and tidy guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas as per hotel standards.
Change bed linens and towels, restock guest amenities, and refill supplies.
Dust, vacuum, mop floors, clean mirrors, and disinfect high-touch surfaces.
Report any maintenance issues or lost & found items to the supervisor immediately.
Follow proper procedures for key handling, room entry, and guest privacy.
Handle guest requests (extra towels, amenities, etc.) courteously and promptly.
Dispose of trash properly and separate linen for laundry.
Follow all safety and hygiene protocols during cleaning tasks.
Ensure trolleys and equipment are well maintained and stored properly after use.
Cooperate with the housekeeping team and assist colleagues when needed.
Requirements:
Previous experience in housekeeping preferred (not mandatory).
Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Good physical stamina and the ability to lift, bend, and stand for long periods.
Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
Honest, reliable, and a team player.
Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
