Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and discreet

House Manager

to oversee the complete day-to-day operations of a high-end private residence in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing household staff, ensuring smooth functioning of the residence, maintaining service standards, and acting as a single point of coordination between the principals, staff, and external vendors.


Key Roles & Responsibilities

Household Operations




Oversee the overall functioning of the residence, ensuring seamless daily operations. Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, safety, and presentation across the property. Conduct regular inspections of the residence to ensure upkeep and readiness at all times.

Staff Management




Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise household staff including housekeeping, butlers, drivers, security, and other support staff. Define roles, responsibilities, and duty rosters for all staff members. Monitor staff performance, discipline, attendance, and grooming standards. Act as the primary point of escalation for staff-related matters.

Guest & Service Management




Ensure high-quality service delivery for family members and guests. Coordinate special occasions, events, and gatherings at the residence. Maintain confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism at all times.

Vendor & Facility Management




Coordinate with external vendors for maintenance, repairs, AMC contracts, and services. Supervise work related to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, civil, and interior maintenance. Ensure timely servicing of appliances, equipment, and utilities.

Inventory & Budget Control




Manage household inventories including consumables, groceries, supplies, and assets. Monitor expenses and maintain household budgets within approved limits. Ensure cost optimization without compromising service standards.

Security & Safety




Ensure safety and security protocols are followed within the residence. Coordinate with security personnel and review security arrangements regularly. Handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.

Coordination & Reporting




Act as a liaison between the principals and household staff. Maintain daily logs, reports, and records as required by the principals. Anticipate requirements and proactively address household needs.

Desired Candidate Profile

Minimum

8-10 years of experience

in a similar role managing luxury residences, UHNI homes, or hospitality estates. Strong leadership, people management, and communication skills. Background in hospitality, hotel management, or estate management preferred. Well-groomed, articulate, and service-oriented personality. High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism. * Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and work under pressure.
