House Manager



Position Summary



The House Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall maintenance, housekeeping,



and operational management of residential, institutional, or event facilities. The role ensures



high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, safety, and service delivery while effectively



managing staff, vendors, budgets, and inventories to provide a well-maintained and



welcoming environment.



Key Responsibilities



Housekeeping & Facility Operations



? Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and upkeep of all rooms, common areas, offices, and



external premises.



? Maintain interiors, furnishings, equipment, and utilities in excellent working



condition.



? Conduct regular inspections and implement corrective actions where required.



? Supervise deep cleaning, spring cleaning, and special cleaning schedules.



Staff Management & Training



? Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate housekeeping and support staff.



? Prepare duty rosters, shift schedules, and allocate daily responsibilities.



? Monitor staff performance and enforce discipline, safety, and hygiene standards.



Vendor & Event Coordination



? Coordinate with vendors for housekeeping supplies, maintenance services, pest



control, and laundry operations.



? Ensure timely delivery and availability of materials for events and daily operations.



? Supervise housekeeping and service support during events such as conferences,



meetings, and functions.



Inventory, Equipment & Supplies Management



? Maintain inventory of cleaning materials, chemicals, tools, furniture, and equipment.



? Monitor usage, control wastage, and ensure proper storage of supplies.



? Raise purchase requisitions and manage reorder levels as per operational needs.



Budget & Cost Control



? Prepare and manage housekeeping and facility-related budgets.



? Monitor expenses and implement cost-control measures without compromising



quality.



? Submit regular expense and performance reports to management.



SOPs, Safety & Compliance



? Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations.



? Handle emergency situations, ensure staff readiness, and support safe evacuation



procedures.



Required Skills & Competencies



? Strong leadership and team management skills



? Excellent communication and coordination abilities



? Knowledge of housekeeping chemicals, equipment, and safety standards



? Budgeting and inventory management expertise



? Problem-solving and decision-making skills



? Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities



Qualifications



? Bachelor's Degree (preferred)



? Formal training or certification in Housekeeping / Facility Management is an



advantage.



Experience



? Minimum 8-14 years of experience in housekeeping or facility management



? Prior experience in hospitals, universities, corporate offices, residential properties, or



event venues preferred



? Proven experience in managing teams, vendors, and budgets at home.



Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?40,000.00 - ?45,000.00 per month
