Position Overview:



The House Father is responsible for providing care, supervision, discipline, and emotional support to boys in a child care institution. He acts as a father figure ensuring a nurturing and safe environment, supporting the holistic development and well-being of children.

Key Responsibilities



1. Case Management & Individual Care Planning



Follow the Individual Care Plan (ICP) for each child and support in its implementation. Observe children's behavior, health, and daily routine, and report any significant changes. Coordinate with the Child Welfare Officer and counsellor for any specialized needs.

2. Coordination with Authorities



Accompany children to CWC, hospital, school, or any official visits as instructed. Report incidents or emergencies promptly to the Superintendent or Child Welfare Officer. Handle all child-related information with confidentiality and sensitivity.

3. Rehabilitation and Reintegration



Encourage discipline, responsibility, and positive behavior through daily interactions. Support children's participation in school, play, and life-skill activities. Assist in collecting family information and preparing the child for reintegration where applicable.

4. Monitoring and Reporting



Maintain daily attendance, hygiene, and behavioral observations in the register. Report any serious issues or incidents to the appropriate authority. Assist in completing documentation as required by the institution.

5. Child Rights and Safeguarding



Treat all children with respect, care, and without discrimination. Identify and immediately report any case of abuse, neglect, or mistreatment. Follow the Juvenile Justice Act and the institution's child safeguarding policies strictly.

Qualifications:



Graduate in Any Stream. Preferably with experience in handling children or in a residential setup. Must be

30 years or older

, male. Basic knowledge of the

Juvenile Justice Act

, child protection policies preferred. Willingness to stay full-time (residential role). Police verification and medical fitness certificate mandatory.

Key Skills:



Strong leadership and mentoring skills. Ability to manage adolescents and handle conflicts maturely. Understanding of child psychology and discipline strategies. Physically fit and emotionally stable. Compassionate, patient, and calm under pressure. Good verbal communication in the local language.
