Job Description

Please only apply if you have experience in hotel sales and marketing and are in the Delhi/Noida area.

Weekends are working, own vehicle and/or full driving licence are must. Field work is an essential part of the job

To achieve the highest level of bookings for accommodation and events and creating customer loyalty with clients. Constantly seek out now business opportunities whilst maintaining current contracts. In doing so, it is expected that all efforts be directed toward guest satisfaction, the achievement/maintenance of division standards and profit maximisation

Main Duties and Responsibilities:



1. Punctually attend work with a high standard of personal appearance and uniform.

2. Ensure all hotel policies and regulations are adhered to

3. Communicate with colleagues / other departments / managers regarding day to day activities in the Sales department

4. New business development and direct marketing

Suggest viable target clients and industries, sourcing relevant data as necessary

Approach potential clients through various channels, including cold calling and direct mail campaigns

Use knowledge of the Asian markets and the localisation industry to promote introductions and sales

Participate in events that will promote the awareness of the company and its credentials

Arrange and lead new business meetings, delivering sales presentation in a polished, professional manner

Be familiar with the range of services offered by Surya Palace and understand how to identify client requirements that can be met by these services

Work with the managing director and marketing team in the development of ideas for new services and new markets for existing services

5. Proposals and bookings

Adopt a consultative approach in working with clients to establish requirements

and propose solutions, using technology to strengthen Surya Palace's offering

Work with operations teams to cost and develop proposals for large, complex

projects

Oversee prompt production of day-to-day quotes for regular clients

Work with the managing director and operations teams to transition the responsibility for day-to-day quoting over to the operations teams

6. Client retention

Maintain awareness of the company among existing prospects through periodic follow-up calls.

Oversee production and distribution of quarterly newsletter

7. Advertising and PR

Analyse advertising opportunities and propose campaigns where strong ROI is expected

Negotiate pricing with publishers

Oversee copywriting and design of ads

Identify need for production of new marketing collateral and updates to existing materials; oversee production

Identify PR opportunities, develop relationships with journalists and submit press releases

8. Client Database maintenance

Oversee day-to-day maintenance of the client database, ensuring that new leads are added in a timely manner and integrity of data is maintained through regular cleaning

Ensure that colleagues at all levels are following prospect tracking systems

9. Website

Review existing online marketing strategy, suggest and implement improvements

Ensure the company's website starts to rank on page 1 of all major search engines for targeted keywords

Oversee day-to-day updates and maintenance

10. Reporting

Review existing data collection systems, suggest and implement improvements

Collate data on clients, enquiries, conversions and website activity

Present monthly report to managing director, analysing past performance and proposing future activities and direction

11. When going to personal visits to companies, always maintain a high standard of personal appearance and professionalism in your approach to proposing Surya Palace, documentation provided and responding to clients questions courteously and as fully as possible

12. Interact with guests in a polite friendly and professional manner, always striving to exceed customer expectations.

13. Be a team player

14. Carry out any other duties / specific projects as requested by senior management that may not be listed above

Surya Palace functions 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. All staff must understand and be aware that their hours of working/jobs to be done may change according to business demands

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
