Role Overview

The Receptionist is the first point of contact for guests at Bunk Hostel. This role is responsible for ensuring smooth check-ins and check-outs, assisting guests with their needs, and maintaining a welcoming and organized front desk environment.

Key Responsibilities

Front Desk Operations

Handle guest check-ins and check-outs smoothly and professionally

Manage room allocations, extensions, and walk-in bookings

Handle payments, billing, and basic cash/card transactions

Answer phone calls, WhatsApp, emails, and online booking queries

Guest Experience

Welcome guests warmly and explain hostel rules, facilities, and events

Assist guests with local information, directions, transport, and recommendations

Resolve guest queries or complaints calmly and efficiently

Maintain a friendly, helpful, and social atmosphere at the hostel

Coordination & Administration

Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams for room readiness

Update booking systems and maintain accurate guest records

Support community managers or event teams when required

Ensure front desk area is clean, organized, and presentable

Required Skills & Qualities

Good communication skills in English & Hindi (additional languages are a plus)

Friendly, calm, and service-oriented attitude

Basic computer knowledge (PMS, Google Sheets, WhatsApp, email)

Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in shifts

Problem-solving mindset and patience with guests

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in a hostel, hotel, cafe, or customer service role

Interest in travel, hospitality, or community spaces

Comfortable working weekends, holidays, and night shifts

Shift Timings: Rotational shifts (morning / evening / night)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From ?8,000.00 per month
