Welnez Hygiene is a premium wellness retreat launching in Kozhikode. We're a 60,000 sq ft facility on 4 acres with 52 luxury rooms and 2 specialty dining outlets, offering comprehensive wellness programs. Our positioning combines clinical wellness excellence with luxury hospitality standards.
Your Role
As Operations Manager, you lead all hospitality operations across Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Maintenance departments. You oversee 140+ staff, drive guest satisfaction and operational excellence, manage departmental budgets, and ensure premium service standards across the property. This is a pre-opening opportunity to build operations from the ground up at a boutique wellness resort.
Key Responsibilities
Lead hotel operations across Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B Service & Production, and Maintenance departments with full operational responsibility for a 52-room property with 2 F&B outlets
Drive occupancy growth, revenue optimization, and guest satisfaction scores while controlling operational costs and maintaining service standards
Recruit, train, and develop department heads and supervisory teams for Front Office Manager, Housekeeping Manager, F&B Manager, and Chief Engineer positions
Establish and monitor Standard Operating Procedures for check-in/check-out, housekeeping standards, restaurant service, maintenance schedules, and guest service protocols
Oversee pre-opening preparations including staff recruitment, training programs, vendor onboarding, systems implementation, and operational readiness for launch
Manage guest experience and service recovery, handle escalations, monitor online reviews and guest feedback, and implement continuous improvement initiatives
Coordinate with Wellness Division to ensure seamless integration of hospitality services with wellness programs while maintaining luxury hotel service standards
Monitor departmental performance through daily operations reports, weekly reviews with department heads, monthly financial analysis, and quarterly strategic planning with CEO
Requirements
Must Have:
Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, or related field
8-12 years of progressive hotel operations experience with minimum 5 years in senior management roles (Operations Manager, Resident Manager, Assistant General Manager, or General Manager)
Proven track record opening or managing boutique hotels, luxury resorts, wellness retreats, or premium hospitality properties (50-100 rooms)
Strong background across all hotel departments: Front Office operations, Housekeeping management, F&B service and production, property maintenance
Demonstrated success managing multi-department teams (100+ staff), achieving occupancy targets, driving revenue growth, and maintaining high guest satisfaction scores
Proficiency in hotel management systems (PMS software), booking engines, revenue management tools, and Microsoft Office
Fluency in English and Malayalam (spoken and written) required for guest interaction and team management
Willingness to relocate to Kozhikode and commit to 6-day work weeks with flexible hours during pre-opening and ramp-up phases
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management (BHM) from reputed hotel management institutes
Experience in wellness hospitality, spa resorts, health resorts, or premium leisure properties
Background in pre-opening hotel projects, launch teams, or property turnarounds
Knowledge of Kerala hospitality market, local guest preferences, and regional tourism dynamics
Proficiency in additional languages beyond Malayalam and English (Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, or international languages) for diverse guest demographics
Track record achieving industry awards, guest satisfaction scores above 4.5/5, or occupancy rates above market average

Physical property walkthroughs daily across all departments, outdoor areas, and guest facilities
Collaborative work with Wellness Division (doctors, therapists) to integrate hospitality and wellness services
