Position Overview:



The Hotel Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring exceptional service quality, efficient management of resources, and a positive guest experience. This role requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and a commitment to achieving both guest satisfaction and business goals. The Hotel Manager works closely with various department heads to ensure that the hotel runs smoothly, meets revenue targets, and maintains high standards of hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:



Operational Management:

Oversee all aspects of hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, and guest services. Ensure the hotel is in compliance with health, safety, and other regulations. Manage the daily scheduling and coordination of hotel staff to meet service demands. Supervise and train staff, including department heads, to uphold company standards and deliver top-tier guest experiences.

Guest Experience:

Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction by addressing concerns, handling complaints, and proactively improving service delivery. Implement guest loyalty programs and work to increase guest retention. Oversee the check-in and check-out process, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.

Financial Management:

Develop and manage the hotel's budget, ensuring cost control and meeting revenue targets. Monitor and manage operating expenses, focusing on cost-effective practices and maximizing profitability. Analyse financial reports and implement strategies to improve hotel performance. Oversee pricing and revenue strategies, including room rates, promotions, and sales.

Staff Management:

Lead, motivate, and manage a team of hotel staff, fostering a positive work environment. Conduct performance reviews, provide training, and develop employees to encourage career growth. Handle staff scheduling, recruitment, and ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.

Marketing and Sales:

Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns, enhance the hotel's brand image, and increase bookings. Cultivate relationships with corporate clients, travel agents, and other business partners to drive business. Assist in overseeing online presence, guest reviews, and reputation management.

Maintenance and Quality Control:

Ensure hotel facilities, guest rooms, and public areas are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and functionality. Oversee routine maintenance and repairs, ensuring minimal disruption to guests.

Compliance and Risk Management:

Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations. Maintain health and safety standards, and handle any emergency situations effectively.

Qualifications:



Education:

Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

Experience:

At least 3-5 years of experience in a managerial position in the hospitality industry, preferably in hotel management.

Skills:

Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficient in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong financial acumen and the ability to manage budgets. Ability to handle high-pressure situations and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.

Personal Attributes:

Highly organized with exceptional problem-solving skills. A proactive and customer-focused approach to management. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

Working Conditions:



Full-time position with occasional evening, weekend, or holiday shifts. Must be available for on-call emergencies. The role involves standing, walking, and lifting items as required.
