OVERVIEW:
SHAM INSTITUTE is looking for a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Hotel Management Faculty to train students in hospitality operations, customer service, and industry standards. The ideal candidate should have strong domain expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to deliver practical and theoretical concepts effectively.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Hotel Management Faculty will be responsible for teaching subjects related to hospitality, including front office operations, housekeeping, food & beverage services, culinary basics, customer service, and hotel administration. The role includes conducting practical demonstrations, preparing students for industry requirements, and ensuring skill-based learning outcomes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Deliver lectures and practical training sessions in hospitality management and hotel operations.
2. Teach modules such as Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B Services, Culinary Foundations, Hospitality Etiquette, and Customer Relations.
3. Conduct hands-on demonstrations, role-plays, and mock hotel scenarios for skill development.
4. Prepare lesson plans, training materials, and assessment tools aligned with industry standards.
5. Guide students in practical assignments, internships, and skill-development activities.
6. Organize workshops, guest lectures, and real-time exposure visits (hotels, restaurants, resorts).
7. Ensure students understand safety, hygiene, grooming, and professional conduct required in hospitality.
8. Stay updated with hospitality trends and integrate them into training modules.
9. Support academic planning, events, and administrative responsibilities in the hospitality department.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Hotel Management / Hospitality Management or related field.
2. Industry experience in hotels, resorts, or hospitality establishments is preferred.
3. Minimum 2-5 years of teaching or industry experience.
4. Strong communication, presentation, and customer service skills.
5. Ability to teach both practical and theoretical subjects effectively.
6. Knowledge of hospitality standards, grooming etiquette, and operational procedures.
7. Familiarity with modern hospitality practices, software, and training tools.
SALARY: As per SHAM INSTITUTE norms.
