Job Description

Maintenance staff job involves maintaining the property's physical structure and equipment by performing repairs, routine upkeep, and preventative maintenance on systems like plumbing, electrical, and HVAC. Key duties include responding to guest requests, conducting inspections, managing inventory, and ensuring a safe and clean environment.

Key responsibilities

Repairs and maintenance:

Fixing plumbing (leaks, clogs), electrical issues (lamps, outlets), and HVAC systems. Performing carpentry, painting, and general repairs on furniture, walls, and fixtures. Maintaining and repairing equipment like TVs, kitchen appliances, and other hotel systems.

Inspections and preventative maintenance:

Conducting regular inspections of the hotel's interior and exterior to identify and address maintenance needs. Implementing and managing preventative maintenance schedules for equipment and building systems.

Guest services:

Responding promptly and efficiently to guest maintenance requests and issues. Assisting with the setup and cleanup of event or meeting rooms as needed.

Safety and compliance:

Ensuring all work complies with safety regulations and standards. Monitoring and testing emergency systems, such as fire alarms.

General duties:

Maintaining an inventory of parts, tools, and supplies. Performing groundskeeping duties, like landscaping and clearing snow. Assisting with other departments or tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications and skills

Diploma in Industrial Maintenance / Electrical Experience in building maintenance, with strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Previous experience in similar properties
