General Manager

Ramada Encore, Vrindavan

Reporting to:

Owners / Asset Management

Experience Level:

10-15 years in branded hotels (midscale-upper midscale)

ROLE PURPOSE

The General Manager is fully accountable for

profitability, brand compliance, guest satisfaction, team leadership, and market positioning

of the hotel.
This is a

hands-on leadership role

, not a desk job.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. OPERATIONS & BRAND COMPLIANCE

Overall responsibility for

rooms, F&B, banquet, rooftop pool, engineering, housekeeping, front office, and security

. Ensure

Ramada / Wyndham brand standards

, audits, SOPs, and brand score targets are met or exceeded. Maintain

service consistency

across all guest touchpoints. Drive high

guest satisfaction scores (GSS)

and review ratings on OTA and brand channels. Ensure statutory, fire, safety, hygiene, and license compliance at all times.
2. REVENUE, SALES & PROFITABILITY

Own the

P&L

of the hotel. Drive

room revenue, banquet revenue, and F&B topline

. Develop and execute

pricing strategy

(BAR, seasonal pricing, religious peaks, wedding demand). Actively support

wedding, group, corporate, and travel trade sales

. Monitor costs tightly--especially

payroll, utilities, food cost, and wastage

. Deliver budgeted

GOP and cash flow

.
3. SALES, MARKETING & MARKET PRESENCE

Be the

face of the hotel in Vrindavan-Mathura market

. Build strong relationships with: Wedding planners Travel agents Temple authorities Corporates & institutions Support digital marketing initiatives with revenue focus. Drive

direct bookings and repeat clientele

.
4. TEAM LEADERSHIP & HR

Recruit, train, and retain

high-performing HODs

. Build a

guest-first, disciplined service culture

. Set clear KPIs and performance metrics for all departments. Control attrition and ensure strong succession planning. Enforce grooming, conduct, and service etiquette standards.
5. GUEST EXPERIENCE & REPUTATION

Personally handle

VIP guests, key events, weddings, and escalations

. Ensure culturally sensitive hospitality aligned with

Vrindavan's religious environment

. Maintain a premium yet respectful atmosphere suitable for international and Indian guests. Own online reputation management (Google, OTA, brand platforms).
6. OWNER & ASSET REPORTING

Provide

weekly and monthly MIS reports

. Present clear business insights, forecasts, and action plans. Be transparent, data-driven, and proactive in decision-making. Protect owner interests while maintaining brand integrity.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum

10 years

in hospitality, with at least

3-5 years as GM / Unit Head / Hotel Manager

in a branded hotel. Prior experience in

midscale or upper-midscale brands

(Ramada, Holiday Inn, Fairfield, Lemon Tree, Radisson, etc.). Strong exposure to

religious or destination markets

preferred. Hotel Management degree mandatory.
