Hotel Cook - Purple Resorts, Auroville

Responsibilities

Prepare and execute a variety of menu items according to our recipes, presentation standards, and quality guidelines. Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient food preparation during service hours. Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards at all times. Assist with ingredient prep, portion control, and restocking to maintain appropriate inventory levels. Ensure proper storage and rotation of food items and supplies as per resort guidelines. Participate in the garnishing and presentation of dishes to create memorable dining experiences for guests. Perform opening and closing duties for each assigned shift, including cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen area. Work collaboratively with other cooks, sous chefs, and service staff to deliver high-quality meals, even during busy periods.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a cook in a hotel or restaurant environment is preferred. Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen safety practices. Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively within a team. Attention to detail in food preparation, flavor, and presentation. Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and evenings. Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a genuine passion for culinary arts.
