Urgent requirement for Accounts depart

Sector - Hotel & Resort

Experience - Min 4 to 5 years in hotel accountant position

Knowledge - Tally & ids software

Key Responsibility Areas include:

Financial Reporting:

Preparing and analyzing accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

Assisting in the development of the hotel's annual budget, monitoring departmental performance against the budget, conducting variance analysis, and preparing financial forecasts.

General Ledger and Reconciliation:

Managing the general ledger and performing timely reconciliations of all accounts, including bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, to ensure accuracy.

Accounts Payable and Receivable Management:

Overseeing the processing of vendor invoices, ensuring timely payments to suppliers, and managing the collection of outstanding balances (city ledger accounts).

Revenue and Expense Tracking:

Implementing systems to accurately track all revenue streams (room sales, food & beverage, events, etc.) and monitoring operational costs and expenses.

Tax and Regulatory Compliance:

Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal tax regulations (e.g., sales taxes, occupancy taxes, income taxes) and preparing and filing tax returns accurately and on time.

Internal Controls and Auditing:

Implementing and maintaining effective internal controls to safeguard hotel assets, minimize financial risks, and coordinating with internal and external auditors during the audit process.

Payroll Administration:

Managing or assisting with payroll processing, including wage and salary calculations and ensuring correct tax deductions and timely payments.

Financial Analysis and Decision Support:

Providing management with insightful financial analysis, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) like Occupancy Rate, ADR (Average Daily Rate), and RevPAR (Revenue Per Available Room), and data-driven recommendations for cost reduction and profit maximization.

Inventory Management Support:

Assisting with monthly audits of physical inventory (e.g., food, beverages, supplies) to ensure accurate records and cost control.
