Job Summary
We are looking for a courteous, friendly, and well-presented Hostess to join our hospitality team. The Hostess will be the first point of contact for guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, managing reservations, and coordinating table seating. This role is key to delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining a smooth front-of-house operation.
Key Responsibilities
Greet and welcome guests in a warm and professional manner.
Manage guest reservations and waitlists using reservation software or logbooks.
Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
Coordinate table availability and seating plans to optimize service flow.
Communicate special guest requests or VIP arrivals to the service team.
Answer incoming calls and provide information regarding restaurant hours, menus, and reservations.
Maintain the reception area's cleanliness and presentation standards.
Handle guest concerns or complaints gracefully and report them to management.
Assist in creating a positive dining experience by being attentive and proactive.
Work closely with servers and floor staff to ensure a seamless guest experience.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience as a hostess or in customer-facing hospitality roles is an advantage.
Pleasant demeanor, excellent grooming, and strong interpersonal skills.
Fluent in English and local languages preferred.
Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with reservation systems.
Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays
