The Restaurant Hostess / Guest Relations Executive is responsible for warmly welcoming guests, managing reservations and seating arrangements, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience from arrival to departure. The role focuses on first impressions, guest satisfaction, and smooth front-of-house operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome guests courteously upon arrival
Manage reservations and walk-ins efficiently
Escort guests to their tables and present menus
Maintain accurate waitlists and table availability
Coordinate with service staff to ensure smooth seating flow
Handle guest queries, requests, and special occasions professionally
Monitor dining area for cleanliness and readiness
Assist in resolving guest concerns promptly and politely
Maintain guest feedback records and share insights with management
Ensure adherence to brand standards and service SOPs
Guest Experience:
Build positive rapport with guests and ensure a pleasant dining experience
Handle VIPs, repeat guests, and special requests with care
Support upselling initiatives such as promotions and events
Skills & Competencies:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Pleasant personality and professional appearance
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Customer-focused mindset
Ability to remain calm under pressure
Basic knowledge of POS/reservation systems (preferred)
Qualifications & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
Prior experience in hospitality or customer service preferred
Freshers with good communication skills may apply
