Bachelor's degree in any discipline (preferred: Management, Education, Social Work).
For school hostels, a background in teaching or counseling is often preferred.
2-5 years of experience in hostel or residential facility management.
Prior experience in student supervision or administrative roles is advantageous.
Strong communication and leadership.
Organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Empathy, patience, and ability to manage diverse groups.
Basic computer and record-keeping skills.
Ex-Army personnel.
Key Responsibilities
:
1. Administration & Supervision
Oversee day-to-day hostel operations and maintenance.
Allocate rooms and maintain resident records.
Supervise housekeeping, security, and catering staff.
Conduct regular inspections for cleanliness, safety, and hygiene.
2. Student Welfare & Discipline
Enforce hostel rules and regulations.
Resolve conflicts and address grievances among residents.
Ensure safety and discipline inside the hostel premises.
Organize student welfare activities and counseling when needed.
3. Safety & Security
Monitor entry/exit of visitors and residents.
Ensure compliance with fire safety and emergency procedures.
Report and handle emergencies or accidents immediately.
4. Coordination
Liaise with management, parents, and academic staff.
Prepare reports and maintain hostel records (attendance, maintenance logs, etc.).
Coordinate with vendors for food, laundry, and maintenance services.
