Job Summary

We are seeking a responsible, disciplined, and empathetic

Hostel Warden

to oversee the safety, welfare, discipline, and daily functioning of the school hostel. The ideal candidate should be capable of managing residential students, maintaining a structured routine, and creating a safe, supportive, and well-regulated hostel environment.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and manage the day-to-day operations of the hostel, ensuring student safety and well-being at all times. Maintain discipline and enforce hostel rules, routines, and code of conduct. Monitor student attendance, daily schedules, study hours, meals, and lights-out routines. Act as the primary point of contact for students residing in the hostel. Coordinate with teaching staff, administration, kitchen staff, and medical personnel as required. Address student concerns, behavioral issues, and emergencies with maturity and discretion. Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and maintenance of hostel facilities. Maintain records related to student attendance, discipline, health issues, and incidents. Support students emotionally and guide them in adapting to residential school life. Assist in organizing hostel activities, supervised study sessions, and recreational programmes.
Qualifications and SkillsEducation

Graduate degree in any discipline (mandatory). Degree or diploma in education, child care, or residential school management will be an added advantage.
Experience

Minimum

3-5 years

of experience as a Hostel Warden or in a residential school / student supervisory role.
Skills

Strong leadership, discipline management, and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle students with empathy, firmness, and fairness. Capability to manage emergencies and maintain calm under pressure. Basic administrative and record-keeping skills. Willingness to reside on campus and be available as per hostel requirements.
Accommodation & Facilities

On-campus accommodation is provided and mandatory

, as the role requires continuous hostel presence. Meals will be provided on campus as per school policy. Utilities and basic facilities will be provided as part of the residential arrangement.
