Position Summary:
We are seeking a responsible, empathetic, and proactive Hostel Rector to oversee the day-to-day operations of the student hostel. The Rector will play a key role in maintaining discipline, ensuring student welfare, and fostering a positive residential experience for undergraduate students enrolled in ophthalmic programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise hostel operations including accommodation, cleanliness, safety, and maintenance.
Ensure discipline and adherence to hostel rules and regulations.
Act as a mentor and counselor to students, addressing their concerns and promoting well-being.
Coordinate with academic and administrative departments for student support.
Handle emergencies and ensure timely resolution of issues.
Organize student engagement activities and promote a healthy hostel culture.
Maintain records related to hostel occupancy, grievances, and incidents.
Qualifications & Skills:
Graduate/Postgraduate degree in any discipline (background in healthcare or education preferred).
Prior experience in hostel administration or student welfare roles.
Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
Ability to manage young adults with empathy and authority.
Familiarity with safety protocols and hostel management systems.
