Manager - Hostels
to oversee the administration, welfare, and holistic management of our women's hostels in
Coimbatore
. The role requires leadership, discipline, and empathy to ensure a safe, secure, and student-centric residential environment. The selected candidate will also be responsible for the
management of additional hostels
under the institution.
Key Responsibilities & Competencies
1. Administrative & Organizational Skills
a) Day-to-day hostel operations management.
b) Systematic record keeping (attendance, fee registers, maintenance logs, complaint registers).
c) Effective time management and ability to multitask.
d) Policy implementation and compliance with institutional regulations.
2. People & Relationship Management
a) Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
b) Conflict resolution and grievance handling with students, parents, and staff.
c) Empathy, patience, and ability to counsel students.
d) Leadership in managing wardens, caretakers, housekeeping staff, and security personnel.
3. Safety, Security & Discipline
a) Crisis and emergency management (fire safety, medical emergencies, security incidents).
b) Enforce discipline while maintaining a positive and inclusive hostel environment.
c) Familiarity with safety protocols and statutory compliance requirements.
d) Liaison with local authorities (police, hospitals, municipal bodies) when necessary.
4. Financial & Resource Management
a) Hostel budget planning, monitoring, and expense control.
b) Vendor management (canteen, housekeeping, maintenance contractors).
c) Inventory and asset management (furniture, equipment, and supplies).
d) Cost optimization without compromising quality.
5. Facilities & Infrastructure Management
a) Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and upkeep of hostel premises.
b) Coordinate with civil, electrical, and plumbing departments for timely maintenance.
c) Supervise kitchen and dining operations with focus on food safety and quality.
d) Manage occupancy, room allotments, and decongestion initiatives.
6. IT & Digital Skills
a) Proficiency in MS Office and ERP / hostel management software.
b) Digital record keeping and preparation of reports.
c) Ability to effectively use communication tools (emails, portals, WhatsApp groups).

Eligibility Criteria
