Greet and attend to patients and visitors courteously.
Register patients for outpatient/inpatient services.
Maintain cleanliness and professionalism at the reception area.
2. Billing and Payments:
Manage
cash billing
for outpatient, inpatient, and day care services.
Ensure accurate data entry for billing and generation of receipts.
Maintain a daily cash register and submit end-of-day reports.
Preferred: Understanding of
cashless billing
procedures for insured patients.
3. PCPNDT Compliance:
Ensure that all documentation and records related to ultrasonography and fetal scans are maintained in compliance with
PCPNDT Act
.
Coordinate with the radiology department to verify the proper filing of consent and Form F.
4. Doctor Visit Management:
Coordinate patient appointments with doctors.
Maintain the daily OPD schedule of visiting consultants.
Inform doctors about patient arrivals and delays.
5. Service Provider Payment Management:
Maintain records of payments made to outsourced service providers (e.g., lab, housekeeping, ambulance).
Coordinate with accounts or admin for timely processing of payments.
6. Communication and Call Handling:
Answer all incoming phone calls promptly and redirect appropriately.
Provide accurate information to callers and address queries professionally.
Maintain a call log for important follow-ups or messages.
Additional Duties:
Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold medical ethics.
Coordinate with TPA desk or PRO for insurance patients (if needed).
Report discrepancies in billing, patient issues, or equipment faults to the concerned authority.
Assist in basic administrative or clerical duties as assigned.
Maintain the office registers.
