Job Summary



The Hospital Receptionist will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors at Altor Hospitals, playing a critical role in creating a positive impression, facilitating smooth operations, and supporting patient satisfaction. This position requires excellent communication, convincing, and interpersonal skills, along with a professional demeanor and the ability to manage diverse responsibilities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities



Patient Reception and Orientation

: Warmly welcome patients and visitors, providing clear guidance on hospital facilities, services, and initial documentation processes to ensure a seamless entry experience.

Appointment Scheduling and Coordination

: Manage appointment bookings, cancellations, and rescheduling, ensuring efficient use of time for both patients and medical staff.

Issue Resolution

: Address patient queries, misunderstandings, or delays promptly and empathetically, escalating complex issues to the Front Desk Manager as needed.

Documentation and Data Entry

: Accurately record patient information, update records in the hospital's digital system, and maintain confidentiality in compliance with privacy policies.

Patient Assistance

: Offer personalized support to reduce patient anxiety, including assistance with navigation, billing inquiries, and connecting with relevant departments.

Team Collaboration

: Work closely with front desk staff, PRO team, and other departments (e.g., diagnostics, billing) to ensure cohesive patient flow and operational efficiency.

Feedback Collection

: Distribute feedback forms, encourage Google reviews, and assist in gathering patient testimonials to support continuous improvement initiatives.

Adherence to Protocols

: Follow hospital SOPs, maintain a professional appearance, and uphold hygiene and safety standards at all times.

Qualifications and Requirements



Education

: Bachelor's degree in any discipline or MBA (preferably in Hospital Management or Business Administration).

Experience

: Minimum 1 year of experience in a hospital, clinic, or customer-facing healthcare role.

: Excellent verbal and written skills to interact with patients, families, and staff effectively.

: Ability to persuade patients to follow recommended procedures or opt for health packages with empathy and clarity.

Other Requirements
