The Quality Control Officer is responsible for ensuring that the hospital's clinical and operational practices comply with internal quality standards, accreditation requirements, and regulatory guidelines. This role plays a key part in monitoring, evaluating, and improving processes to enhance patient safety, satisfaction, and overall healthcare delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures in line with hospital standards and national/international guidelines (e.g., NABH, JCI).
Conduct routine audits and inspections of hospital departments and services.
Monitor compliance with infection control protocols, safety standards, and clinical care guidelines.
Identify quality gaps and risks, and recommend improvement plans to relevant departments.
Analyze incident reports, patient feedback, and clinical outcomes to detect trends and root causes.
Coordinate and lead quality improvement initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
Prepare and present quality reports to hospital leadership and accreditation bodies.
Facilitate staff training on quality standards, patient safety, and process improvements.
Support accreditation and certification processes by ensuring documentation, training, and compliance are in place.
Maintain and update quality control documentation and records.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related field (Master's preferred).
Certification in Quality Management (e.g., CPHQ, Six Sigma, Lean, NABH Internal Auditor) is an asset.
Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in hospital quality control, clinical auditing, or quality management.
Knowledge of hospital accreditation standards (e.g., NABH).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in data analysis and report writing.
