Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Review and interpret physician prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and drug interactions. Provide drug information and education to medical staff and patients. Maintain accurate records of all medications dispensed and patient medication histories. Ensure proper storage and labelling of medications and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Monitor patient responses to prescribed drug treatments and advise on necessary adjustments. Manage pharmaceutical inventory and ensure availability of essential drugs Contribute to the development and implementation of hospital drug policies and protocols.

Qualifications:

Diploma or Bachelor degree in Pharmacy (D.Pharm or B.Pharm). Valid and current license/registration as a pharmacist. Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred. Strong knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics, and drug safety.

Working Conditions:

Hospital environment, exposure to medications and occasional hazardous substances. May require shifts, weekend, or holiday work depending on hospital operations.
