Dispense medications with proper labeling and dosage instructions.
Ensure compliance with drug safety protocols and legal requirements.
2. Patient Counseling
Provide clear instructions regarding medication usage, dosage, side effects, and storage.
Address patient queries and ensure adherence to prescribed therapy.
3. Medication Management
Monitor drug availability and maintain inventory levels.
Check for expired, damaged, or recalled medications and take appropriate actions.
Prepare and maintain records of controlled substances as per regulations.
4. Clinical Support
Collaborate with medical and nursing staff to ensure safe medication administration.
Assist in antibiotic stewardship and other clinical pharmacy initiatives.
Participate in medication error reporting and prevention programs.
5. Documentation & Compliance
Maintain accurate, updated pharmacy records and reports.
Ensure adherence to hospital policies
Support audits and quality assurance activities.
Required Qualifications & Skills
D. Pharm / B. Pharm / M. Pharm (Registered with State Pharmacy Council).
Minimum
1-3 years
of experience in hospital pharmacy (preferred).
Strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals, dosages, and drug interactions.
Good communication and patient-handling skills.
Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Work Conditions
Rotational shifts may be applicable.
Need to collaborate closely with doctors, nurses, and clinical staff.
