Job Description

Dispense prescribed medications accurately as per doctor's orders Review prescriptions for appropriateness, dosage, interactions, and allergies Counsel patients on proper medication use, dosage, side effects, and storage Maintain proper records of narcotic and controlled drugs Ensure compliance with Pharmacy Act, Drug & Cosmetic Act, and hospital SOPs Monitor drug stock levels and place timely indent orders Ensure correct storage conditions for medicines (temperature, expiry, batch) Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and ward staff for medication management Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly pharmacy reports Handle pharmacy billing and documentation where applicable Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization of the pharmacy area Qualifications & Requirements Education: D.Pharm / B.Pharm / M.Pharm Registration: Valid State Pharmacy Council Registration Experience: Fresher or 1-2 years experience in hospital/retail pharmacy Skills: Good knowledge of medicines and formulations Attention to detail and accuracy Basic computer knowledge (pharmacy software preferred) Good communication skills
