Job Overview
We are seeking a Junior Hospital Pharmacist to join our dynamic team at Chennai Urology And Robotics Institute, located in Chennai. This is a full-time position requiring a minimum of 1 to 3 years of work experience. The ideal candidate will manage pharmaceutical services within our hospital, ensuring the highest standard of patient care.
Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficiency in medication therapy management, ensuring optimal patient-specific therapeutic outcomes.
  • Experience with electronic health records to accurately maintain and review patient information.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance to adhere to healthcare laws and ethical standards.
  • Expertise in clinical pharmacokinetics for effective drug dosing and monitoring in patients.
  • Implement and monitor medication safety strategies to prevent and reduce medication errors.
  • Skilled in sterile compounding and preparation of pharmaceutical products to meet patient needs.
  • Competency in patient counseling to ensure patient understanding of medications and adherence to therapy.
  • Experience with pharmacy management systems (Mandatory skill), critical for managing day-to-day pharmacy operations.
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Review and interpret prescriptions from physicians to dispense appropriate pharmaceutical medications to patients.
  • Engage in the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with medical guidelines.
  • Monitor patient responses to medications, identifying and resolving potential side effects or interactions.
  • Advise healthcare staff on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage of pharmaceuticals.
  • Maintain and organize medication inventories to ensure uninterrupted availability of pharmaceuticals.
  • Participate in clinical pharmacy rounds to collaborate with medical teams in optimizing patient care.
  • Conduct patient education sessions on medication usage, side effects, and lifestyle modifications for better health outcomes.
  • Ensure all pharmacy operations comply with established policies, regulations, and quality standards.
