to join our team at Guardian Hospital. The candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications, ensuring rational drug use, maintaining pharmacy records, and adhering to
NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers)
standards for patient safety and quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
Dispense prescribed medicines accurately and efficiently to patients.
Ensure compliance with NABH standards in storage, handling, and dispensing of drugs.
Maintain proper documentation of narcotic, psychotropic, and restricted drugs as per regulatory requirements.
Monitor drug stock levels and coordinate with procurement to avoid shortages.
Counsel patients on proper usage, dosage, and possible side effects of medications.
Support doctors and nursing staff in selection of safe and effective drugs.
Conduct regular audits of drug expiry, storage conditions, and labeling.
Participate in
Medication Safety and Adverse Drug Reaction (ADR)
reporting as per NABH protocols.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements under
Drugs & Cosmetics Act, Pharmacy Act, and NABH guidelines
.
Assist in the development and implementation of hospital formulary.
Train junior staff and interns on safe pharmacy practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
B.Pharm / M.Pharm / D.Pharm with valid registration under State Pharmacy Council.
Experience:
Minimum 1-3 years of hospital pharmacy experience preferred (Freshers with strong knowledge can also apply).
Strong knowledge of drug regulations, NABH standards, and quality protocols.
Good communication and patient counseling skills.
Detail-oriented with ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Familiarity with inventory management and hospital information systems
