Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated

Medical Social Worker (MSW)

to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be a fresher or have up to 1 year of relevant experience. The role involves working closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide psychosocial support, facilitate patient care, and promote overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess the social, emotional, and financial needs of patients and their families. Provide counseling and emotional support to patients dealing with trauma, chronic illness, or terminal conditions. Assist patients and families in understanding and coping with diagnoses and treatment plans. Facilitate communication between patients, families, and the healthcare team. Help coordinate discharge planning, rehabilitation, home care, and follow-up services. Connect patients to community resources, NGOs, government schemes, and financial aid if needed. Maintain accurate case notes and documentation in accordance with hospital protocols. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient care planning. Educate patients and families on health-related topics and promote mental health awareness. Support hospital programs such as patient welfare initiatives, awareness campaigns, or social services.

Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from a recognized university. Specialization in Medical & Psychiatric Social Work (preferred). Fresher or up to 1 year of experience in a hospital, healthcare NGO, or community health project.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Empathy, active listening, and strong interpersonal skills. Good communication in English and local language. Basic understanding of hospital protocols and patient rights. Organizational and time-management abilities. Knowledge of local social welfare programs and referral systems.

Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹17,000.00 per month
