Director of Human Resources / Hospital Administrator
Position Summary:
The Senior HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all human resources functions within the hospital. This role involves providing leadership in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, talent development, and compliance with healthcare-related HR laws and regulations. The position requires a strategic, hands-on approach to supporting hospital staff and fostering a positive organizational culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Human Resource Strategy & Leadership:
Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the hospital's goals and objectives.
Provide leadership and guidance to HR team members, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Serve as a key partner to hospital management, advising on organizational development and staffing needs.
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:
Lead the recruitment and selection process for hospital staff, including physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, and administrative staff.
Work with department heads to understand staffing needs and ensure timely recruitment.
Manage onboarding and orientation programs for new employees.
Employee Relations & Conflict Resolution:
Act as a point of contact for employee concerns, grievances, and conflicts.
Facilitate communication between hospital staff and management to resolve issues efficiently.
Promote a positive working environment, focusing on employee engagement and retention.
Performance Management & Development:
Oversee the performance appraisal system to ensure it is fair, transparent, and effective.
Identify training needs and coordinate relevant development programs to enhance staff skills and competencies.
Support managers in setting clear performance expectations and providing feedback.
Compliance & Legal:
Ensure the hospital's HR practices comply with all relevant labor laws, healthcare regulations, and industry standards.
Keep abreast of changing healthcare HR laws and best practices to ensure compliance.
Handle employee documentation, contracts, and confidential information with the utmost attention to privacy.
Compensation & Benefits:
Work with the finance team to design and manage competitive compensation and benefits packages.
Ensure hospital staff understand their benefits and assist with benefits administration.
Manage payroll processes and resolve any issues related to salary or benefits.
Workforce Planning & Succession Planning:
Assist in workforce planning, identifying skill gaps and ensuring the hospital has the right talent at all levels.
Collaborate with management on succession planning and career development pathways for high-potential employees.
Health and Safety:
Promote a safe and healthy work environment in accordance with OSHA and hospital safety standards.
Ensure HR policies align with health and safety regulations.
Support hospital-wide wellness initiatives.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
Experience:
Minimum of 6years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a senior HR management role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Strong knowledge of labor laws, healthcare regulations, and HR best practices.
Certifications:
SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is preferred.
Skills:
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic healthcare environment.
Excellent problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
Proficient in HR software and MS Office Suite.

Pay: ?35,000.00 - ?40,000.00 per month
